HMS Endurance’s mission is `to patrol and survey the Antarctic and South Atlantic, maintaining Sovereign Presence with Defence Diplomacy and supporting the global community of Antarctica’. This encapsulates the requirements of her major stakeholders and the planning that underpins her annual deployments to Antarctica.
When HMS Endurance deploys from her base port of Portsmouth in Hampshire, to the cold and ice of the Antarctica austral summer she carries out operational duties for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the British Antarctic Survey and the United Kingdom Hydrographic office. But HMS Endurance also works with a number of other organisations to acheive the very best results from her deployment.
During HMS Endurance's forthcoming deployment, we will be introducing these organisations to you.
