Fresh & Tasty Christmas Stuffing

In order to give your turkey that extra flavour on Christmas Day, it is quite important that you make home-made stuffing. It’s really quite simple, cheap and it doesn’t take that much time - honestly! The quantities are dependant on the size of your bird but don’t be afraid to experiment - that’s what cooking is all about!

Ingredients
White bread- ½ loaf
Fresh sage- a rough handful
Onion - 1
Eggs - 2
Pepper - touch
Cranberry jelly - ½ jar
  1. Roughly chop (or blend if you possess a blender) the bread (crust ‘n’ all) sage or herb of your choice.
  2. Finely dice the onion
  3. Mix all the ingredients together
  4. That’s it. I told you it was simple.
Alternatives to this dish can be made by adding the meat from inside a sausage or adding peeled fresh apricots to the mix. Please experiment!

The age-old argument about whether you should stuff a bird or not, is always up in the air. If you are going to stuff a bird you must ensure that the bird is thoroughly cooked before serving. Any risk comes from the blood inside the bird seeping into the stuffing.

If you do like the flavour that the juices give the stuffing, then cook the bird, carve the meat off and put the stuffing in either the microwave or oven until piping hot.
