To accompany the beef burger Perfectione, try making your own rolls following this recipe. Although it may take a bit of time the end result is extremely pleasing and it’ll taste so much better than frozen supermarket rolls.

White Rolls

Ingredients
250g plain white flour
1 teaspoons salt
140ml warm water
1 teaspoons dried yeast
1 teaspoons caster sugar
1 teaspoons vegetable oil

Preparation
Mix the yeast with the water and leave to the side for a few minutes. Sieve the flour, and then add the sugar and vegetable oil. Form a volcano shape and add the ¼ of the yeast mixture. Mix the ingredients together. At this stage the flour will become lumpy – don’t panic its normal! Start adding more of the yeast & water until it is all mixed in. knead the bread mix for about 10 minutes then cover with a damp cloth and lay to rest until it doubles in size. Now knock the mixture back down to its original size.

Roll the dough into a long sausage shape and cut the dough into 8 equal sizes.

With your hand moving in a circular motion roll the ball of dough until almost round in shape and place on a lightly greased oven tray. Repeat this step until all 8 pieces are on the tray.

Leave the rolls covered once again for approximately 25 minutes till 50% bigger than original.

Execution
Place the tray in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked. To check if they are cooked lit a roll up and tap it on the bottom. It should sound hollow. If it sounds slightly dull leave for a further few minutes.

Allow to cool for about half an hour before cutting.

Finally serve with a freshly home made burger with cherry tomato salsa.
