Brazil Factfile
Brazil

Introduction

The second country HMS Endurance is visiting on her deployment is Brazil. If you look at the tracking map you can follow the route of their journey to Salvador in Brazil.

So what do you know about Brazil? You may be familiar with their World Cup winning football team and the names of some of their more famous football players like Ronaldo, but where is Brazil and what is the country itself actually like?

Brazil

Brazil is part of the continent of South America. The Atlantic Ocean surrounds the eastern side of the country and the rest adjoins several countries like Venezuela, Peru, Colombia and Paraguay. Brazil comprises 48% of South America and is one of the World’s largest independent countries. It is 8,514,215 sq km, which is about 35 times the size of the UK or 16 times the size of France.
