About HMS Endurance
Introduction

If Antarctica were a country, it would be the world’s second largest after Russia. Satellite images of the continent show that ice covers 96.6% of Antarctica. This ice is up to 4775m thick, and in some places its enormous weight is pushing the land up to 2.5km below sea level.
